Al Murjan Project

When Natalia Contova, founder of Mizanna Designs, met her clients, they were getting close to the completion of the main fit out works at their apartment.
The interior designer’s goal was to create a beautiful and functional space with a hint of Japandi style. She decided to keep the walls in a neutral paint color as a backdrop and decorated them with statement art while also adding beautiful but very minimalistic paneling. The selection of furniture was a mix of both simple and unique standing out pieces. The goal was to create an interior that is clutter free and feels light and airy.

The fitout works were completed by the main contractor prior to the beginning of Mizanna Designs’ work with the homeowners so Contova had to revise and redesign quite a few things in order to make the design project come to live.

The team of Mizanna Design had to work with newly installed light grey flooring. To warm up the atmosphere and to create a welcoming mood they used dark chocolate and espresso wood tones, combined with black marble, off white terrazzo and cream upholstery for furniture. They also used micro cement finish for feature walls as well as wardrobe facades. Brown leather always adds drama especially when used on large scaled furniture. The beautiful artwork throughout the entire apartment created in gypsum added beautiful textured finish to the calm walls.
