The elongated shape of the room presented a significant layout challenge. On one hand, there was a privileged view through generous openings that created a major attraction; on the other hand, the requirements called for space to organize items that are part of the family's history, such as the TV and a collection of paintings.

The proposed layout does not integrate the balcony (now enclosed) or the kitchen into the living area—doing so would further elongate the space, which was not desired. This division was emphasized by using different flooring, clearly marking the separation between these areas.

In the balcony, we used more common materials typically found in outdoor areas, aiming for a more informal environment. In the living area, wooden flooring and custom cabinetry define the space. The use of various types of wood in different areas, combined with the texture applied to all the walls, created a cozy and laid-back atmosphere.
