The site had a unique topography: a plateau at street level for the first few meters, followed by a gentle slope to a second level, located near the rear boundary. This natural shape was respected and emphasized in the project's implementation. At street level, we organized the garage, the main entrance, the entrance hall, and the powder room. From this point, a one-meter drop leads to the living area, located 50 centimeters above the garden, reached by wide, generous steps.

From the hall, a flight of stairs leads to the upper floor, where the residence's private area is concentrated. The clients sought a practical, fluid, and welcoming home, focused on entertaining—a habit ingrained in the family routine. To fulfill this desire, we proposed a spacious living room fully integrated with the balcony, through large sliding doors that are recessed into the walls, blurring the boundaries between interior and exterior.

The kitchen was designed with an island that extends to the outside, serving both the interior space and the barbecue area, creating a versatile and seamless space. With the windows open, this island transforms into a generous gourmet space, connecting to the balcony and the living room. This clever overlapping of functions avoided duplication of spaces, optimizing the final square footage and promoting more efficient use of space. Inside, a pantry adjacent to the kitchen conveniently accommodates the family's daily meals.

A large exposed concrete volume extends from the living room to the balcony, housing two fireplaces—one indoors and one outdoors—allowing for comfortable use even on the coldest days. The concrete structure, with its distinct rhythm, organizes the main facade and frames openings that have the side garden as a backdrop. For the flooring, we chose polished concrete—a surface sanded with a hula hoop, which gives a rustic and uncluttered look, in keeping with the design's aesthetic.

In addition to its visual appeal, it is a durable and functional material, also ideal for outdoor areas. In contrast to the more rough finishes, the stone chosen for the island acts as a standout element, reinforcing the intentional and curated character of the architectural design. Finally, the rear garden, with its plaza-like configuration, acts as a natural backdrop for the entire living area of ​​the house, visually expanding the spaces and providing a seamless interaction between architecture and landscape.
