This project was born from a continuous dialogue between Ana and Oscar, the contractor Iñaki, and us. From this collaboration came a home open to light and landscape, where interior and exterior interlace in an atmosphere that recalls the Mediterranean character of Barcelona.
Located on the top floor of a building at the point where the city begins its ascent towards Avinguda Tibidabo, the home enjoys a privileged position with an uncommon view of Barcelona, stretching from Mount Collserola across the city and towards the sea.

With 190 m² of interior space and almost 100 m² of terraces at both ends, the flat could have been organised in many ways. As it is a home for two people, privacy was not a primary concern, which allowed for a more open layout focused on shared spaces and the continuity between different areas of the house.
The floorplan is organised along a north–south axis: the bedrooms and bathrooms sit to the east, while the kitchen, dining area, and living room open onto the large west-facing terrace and the views. The main bedroom is conceived as a minimal and flexible unit, defined by wood sliding panels at both ends that connect the space either to the living area or to the bathroom and dressing area, which form a single open space.

Thanks to a climate that keeps the outdoor areas in use for much of the year, the common areas of the house extend towards the terrace. The kitchen and living room communicate across this central open space through large floor-to-ceiling openings. To reinforce this continuity, materials are repeated inside and out: warm, tactile, and coherent, creating a soft and unified atmosphere. Outside, a pergola supporting solar panels provides shade for an outdoor kitchen and a large built-in table finished with local green tiles. A small pool completes the exterior area, adding to the Mediterranean spirit that links the entire design.
