In a similar vein, Anglicare’s Corrimal project is comprised of a five-storey social and affordable housing development with a mix of 15 studios and 13 one-bedroom dwellings and retail at ground level. All apartments meet silver level liveable housing Australia guidelines and 10% of the total apartments are adaptable or accessible. Core to the function of the building is its integration with the wider community, as well as fostering social interaction between residents to provide a sense of micro-community.
Along the ground plane, retail activates the Princess Highway and Colin St corner, knitting in with the adjoining commercial and retail uses. The project features indoors and outdoor communal spaces for residents, including a top floor recreational space and community garden with views overlooking Corrimal town centre towards the ocean.
