Apartamento Circunvalar unfolds as a contemporary sanctuary where panoramic views and quiet sophistication meet. The project’s central intention was to create a space that could balance modern elegance with comfort, allowing architecture and interior design to serve as a bridge between the surrounding landscape and the inner life of its inhabitants.
Designing not to fill space, but to give it meaning, the concept focused on three key principles: spatial generosity, material warmth, and visual continuity. Each area of the apartment was designed to be more than just functional; it was envisioned as an atmosphere in itself, calm, precise, and emotionally resonant.
The flow between spaces was carefully calibrated to ensure that light moves freely throughout the day, creating subtle transitions and highlighting textures and finishes in a natural, effortless way.
One of the main challenges was reconciling the apartment’s structural constraints with the goal of visual openness. The original layout included several fragmented zones and circulation bottlenecks. Our strategy was not to force a radical transformation but to work with surgical precision: opening up key walls, optimizing connections between spaces, and using built-in furniture and lighting to create clarity and rhythm. The result is a home that feels both expansive and intimate, clearly zoned but never disconnected.
The spatial configuration centers around a large open social area where the living room, dining space, and kitchen are visually integrated yet retain their own identity through layout and material transitions. Generously sized bedrooms receive abundant natural light, providing a sense of retreat and serenity while showcasing thoughtful detailing and a restrained, timeless palette.
The material language is built upon a base of medium-toned natural woods, noble textiles, and clean surfaces. This combination brings warmth and texture while maintaining a sense of sobriety and contemporary refinement. Select color accents and carefully curated design elements were introduced at specific points to elevate the aesthetic experience without overwhelming the calm atmosphere.
Construction techniques favored clean lines and precise execution. Custom carpentry and artisanal finishes were prioritized, allowing the design intent to be fully realized at a human scale. Both natural and artificial lighting was treated as a compositional tool, shaping how each space is experienced throughout the day.
In Apartamento Circunvalar, the architecture does not seek spectacle, it seeks harmony. The project is a quiet reflection on urban living in a high-altitude setting, designed to enhance life’s daily rituals with subtle beauty and enduring purpose. It is a space that, true to Tarq Studio’s vision, connects deeply with its context and its inhabitants.
