This apartment was designed with the aim of promoting family interactions by integrating the patio, living area, and kitchen. The transitions between these spaces are subtly defined through changes in materials and ceiling height, creating a cohesive and interconnected environment.
Apartment MEL utilizes organic materials, emphasizing natural finishes throughout its entirety. The cabinets are crafted from natural wood veneer, while the countertops feature Brazilian stones with striking veining. The selection of furniture prioritized Brazilian designers, incorporating natural wood and non-synthetic fabrics to create a warm and genuine atmosphere.
Attention to detail was paramount in this project, where precise alignments and visual continuity contribute to a sense of unity. An example of this can be seen in the fireplace panel and kitchen ceiling, where lines converge towards a focal point.
In collaboration with our clients, we worked to reflect the unique personalities of each family member in the private areas of the apartment. By creating a harmonious color palette, we sought variations in the furniture of each room to accommodate individual choices of each resident.
