Initially, the project was conceived for a young woman who was looking for a compact apartment, yet close to work.

Due to circumstances and needs, the project was sectored into three distinct zones, which are distinguished as follows:

Circulation zone and recurring day-to-day activities

Social zone

Intimate zone

In this way, we proposed to creat this fixed furniture that could attend the entire list of common activities of the resident's day to day, such as: food preparation, storage and support, service area and pantry.

This fixed furniture was positioned perpendicularly to the wall of the social area (which borders the bedroom), obtaining free transit for routine activities, as well as achieving integration between the two spaces, providing a sense of continuity, therefore without obstructions.

Later, after the pandemic and changes in his personal life, the project was adapted for his mother. Among the changes, adaptations were made, which basically facilitated the daily life of an elderly person.

Below the changes:

More comfortable proportions and modulations. Cabinet reach heights have been reduced and revised.

The passage doors do not have handles (contraindicated for those suffering from arthrosis). In this way, a handle was developed that allowed a smoother grip without the need for a lever. Its closure does not require the use of rollers and is done through magnets.

Real-time surveillance system with microphone, providing more security and facilitating communication in case of an accident.
Sensors with automatic lighting.

Coatings are rougher and have texture, thus avoiding accidents.

Stimulation of affective memory: Use of objects (decoration).

Finally, the specification of furniture with rounded, padded and rounded corners, avoiding corners.
