Bright spaces, comfort and elegance are at the heart of this project. The design proposes making the most of the site on Apollogasse without compromising on architectural quality.
The stepped building volume is organised around a landscaped atrium, with a six-storey section at the southern end and a lower, three-storey structure adjacent to the neighbours at the northern end of the site. The building combines residential and commercial uses.
The basement, which houses an underground car park, also contains bicycle storage, storage rooms and plant rooms. An open-plan retail area with appropriate infrastructure occupies the ground floor. The first floor comprises office spaces overlooking the landscaped courtyard and flats on the south side.
In the front section of the building, the residential units are progressively set back, right up to the penthouse flats on the sixth floor. Whilst this section predominantly comprises south-facing ‘B’ flats and only a few north-facing flats, the rear wing features two storeys consisting exclusively of through-flats. The arrangement of the building blocks ensures that living and working spaces are flooded with as much light as possible. Each of the 56 residential units also features a private outdoor space. Thanks to their spacious and bright individual outdoor areas, a particularly high quality of space is achieved despite the clear functional design.
