Young couple with a young daughter. They wanted:

• a kitchen that integrates with the dining room
• Master bathroom with soaking tub
• Desk
• 3 suites
• Take advantage of the building's structure.
• A cleaner environment that used light colors. Many references to clean contemporary Australian architecture.

What were the owner's requests and expectations for the project and how were they met?
All of the above.

Is it construction, renovation or interior design renovation? If it was a renovation, what was the internal distribution of the property like afterwards?
Total renovation. Main layout changes were:

• transform the TV room into an office,
• integrate the kitchen with the dining area
• changed the layout of the double bathroom to fit a bathtub.

Was it necessary to change electrical, hydraulic material, etc.? Specify the details and reasons.
Yes, the apartment was very old.

What is the inspiration and conception of the project?
The inspiration comes from a diversity of references and ideas that I have accumulated over the years. I start filtering the ideas to see which ones fit best for that specific project. In the case of this apartment, I didn't want to lower the ceiling and leave the shape of the concrete structure visible. I also opted for solutions that increased the feeling of headroom. The client came with references from contemporary Australian architecture that were also incorporated into the creative process. Many of the solutions also came to meet the functional aspects, but it was important to ensure that the social area and bedrooms did not have plaster recesses, such as:

• the carpentry solution in the room with the air conditioning grille above.
• The texture of the ceiling and walls as well as the light floor to increase the feeling of the ceiling
• All indirect lighting solutions as: sconces, lampshades, crown molding/curtains, LEDs in the headboard, illuminated ruler in front of the cabinet.
• The limit of the recess between the kitchen ceiling and the dining room to embed the sliding door that divides the spaces.

Explore the existing structure, both in terms of layout and lighting solutions and materials.

Are there any previous features of the property that were maintained because they were special or at the request of the owners?

Wooden floors in the rooms and the exposed structure.

Did you have any difficulties? What were the solutions found?
Make the layout and details respecting the modulation of the structure.

What factors were analyzed when choosing covering materials? What materials stand out? Are there any ecological or technological materials that deserve to be detailed?
Earth color texture on the walls and ceiling of the structure. Terrazzo floor in the social area. All to give comfort and spaciousness to the environments.

- Kitchen: longer layout with an island that integrates with the dining room. Countertop in calacatta paraná and joinery with 3 tones, white, gray and wood, in addition to the slatted detail of the joinery and porcelain flooring

- living room: room that combines two environments with great fluidity. A glass coffee table with designer armchairs brings a more formal atmosphere, and right behind a very cozy sofa to gather the family to watch TV. Flooring entirely in off-white Terrazo, and all exposed ribbed slab with earth-colored texture.

- balcony: long balcony where we have space for a round table in calacatta marble and 4 chairs and space for a hidden bowl also in calacatta marble for a possible family barbecue. In addition to the planter with the landscaping of Bia Abreu which brings green to the project. Flooring entirely in white terrazzo and ribbed slabs in limestone texture to accompany the room. The new minimalist frame makes all the difference in this environment, where we can open the leaves to any side, leaving the space wider and more fluid.

- dining room: long room that may or may not be connected to the kitchen. A beautiful pendant (Herman miller) in the center of the rectangular stained oak wood table, matching all the joinery (panel and buffet) made of the same material. In the living room we also have the ribbed slabs which bring all the charm to the apartment, where we also use the earth colored limestone texture.

- master bedroom: cozy room with lots of texture on the headboard, upholstered bed and leather armchair (del rey do zalszupin). We used limestone texture on the wall and ribbed slabs. Very detailed joinery with a TV hidden by a sliding door, in off white lacquer. Headboard, bedside table in stained oak wood.

- master bath: bathroom where we managed to fit a bathtub and a large shower with porcelain flooring and white calacatta marble countertop. We chose to make the joinery in stained oak, with a hidden armhole hiding the marble skirt.

- office: symmetrical office, where we placed 3 main materials: stained oak wood, off lacquer and profilit to divide the space with the hallway. The profile allowed natural light to permeate the bedroom corridor. A great solution when the hallway has no windows.

Is there any special object or accessory that deserves to be highlighted, for example, as something ordered abroad or as a collectible?
