For this Nevada luxury home, the shape of the custom suspended fireplace hood was very important to the client. An Acorn style hood with a custom base and drop-in gas burner, a challenging design that would take some ingenuity when working with steel. The Acorn shape hood was built by one of our craftsmen who worked tirelessly to create this intricate shape to perfection.

The hood and custom base were designed together as a full system, when working with gas open fireplaces its best to build the fire feature as one. With this open fire design we customized the base to be dropped into a custom design circular table with an externded hearth ring, the real wood logs postioned along the underside of the base created a unique added feature to the design This custom fireplace is truely a center piece, an added focal point to this luxury built home in Tahoe, Nevada.
