A portal of light in the hallway washes the space in color. In the bathrooms, I didn't want to stop this flow but to continue it. It was important for the space to breathe as an airy and clean respite from the city's hectic atmosphere despite not having much natural light of its own.
In the guest bathroom, instead of typical chrome fixtures I wanted to maximize the amount of white fixtures in the bathroom as a way of making a clean and bright feeling that epitomized the character of the entire home. I chose the Fantini Levante fixtures in a matte white finish because of how it perfectly matched the design intent of the room, flowing with the white trim of the shower, tiles, and across to the hallway outside. It is at once fun and playful yet luxurious and substantial. I wanted to create a tall space that has an elemental feeling, not a collection of products but a feeling of lightness, serenity, and happiness. Our custom designed vanity anchors its energy on the wall, pointing inward along with the offset vanity light overhead.
The master bathroom changes tone from the colorful to blocks of black and white. Chrome Dornbracht fixtures pour out water like gentle waterfalls into the room-wide vanity.
Large scale sliding panels hold the biggest paintings and enclose the bedroom. Slide open the panels and the bedroom opens completely to the sitting area.
