The Arthouse was designed to embody the unique energy of an exclusive private members’ club. The concept centres around creating a thoughtfully curated community where like-minded individuals can connect, unwind, and find inspiration. Every element is carefully considered to offer both privacy and a sense of belonging. The design aims to cultivate an environment where interactions feel effortless, and each space acts as an extension of refined living.

Architecturally, Arthouse presents a contemporary design that integrates natural materials, warm tones, and fluid forms. The façade features a refined combination of bronze metal cladding, timber soffits, and expansive glass, creating a sophisticated yet organic character. Integrated greenery through stone cladding and planters further strengthens its relationship with the natural environment, softening the structure and reinforcing a biophilic design philosophy.

The material palette plays a central role in defining the building’s aesthetic and tactile qualities. Smooth GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) slab edges accentuate the structure’s fluid lines, while timber pergolas and soffits introduce warmth and contrast against the metal surfaces. A combination of curved and straight vision glass enhances transparency and reflects the surrounding landscape. Bronze-look metal cladding and privacy screens contribute depth to the façade, creating dynamic patterns of light and shadow throughout the day.

A defining feature of the architecture is the balcony detailing. Bronze-toned metal privacy screens are rhythmically placed across the façade, providing both shading and a distinct visual rhythm. Metal fin balustrades maintain a clean, modern aesthetic, while curved slab edges soften the building’s form and provide contrast to the vertical screens. Flat screens on the spandrel glass add a layered effect, offering additional privacy and shading while preserving the building’s elegant expression.

Developed by Aldar and designed by RSP, Arthouse is set to become a cultural gem within the Saadiyat Cultural District. Positioned near landmarks such as the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Natural History Museum, the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, the Zayed National Museum, and the Abu Dhabi Performing Arts Centre, the development offers residents a unique opportunity to live at the heart of the emirate’s cultural core.
