Barn House in Gądów near Wrocław refers to the traditional form of architecture. Shape of the building resembles a barn, which is typical for the suburban landscape. Also the red color of the tiles is an expression of reference to traditional architecture. Quite small surface of the building with double garage is designed for a family of four. On the ground floor there are common areas - kitchen, dining room, living room, hobby room. Zone of living room, kitchen and dining room, connects with a patio and outdoor terrace localized on the garden side of the southern exposure. The interiors are bright, well lit and functionally integrated with the outside. On the first floor there is private zone, which consists of 3 comfortable bedrooms – including one with a separate dressing room and bathroom, office and a second bathroom. Additional technical rooms (including laundry, dryer) and garage for two cars are planned on the ground floor.
The house has a simple, traditional form, which refers to traditional local buildings. Finishing building facade is designed in brick clinker with elongated proportions and raw texture, combined with dark wood. The wooden cladding is planned within the entrance area, dormer windows on the side elevations and a patio overlooking the garden, which creates a cavity in a building over its entire height. The building was designed in a dark color od materials, which contrasts with the red roof.
