Biaute is a nail and hair salon located in Ibagué, Colombia. Spanning 1,076 square feet, the project was designed to offer clients a relaxing experience, inspired by the serene tranquility of a beach.

For Estudio Chávarro, this marked their first venture into this type of project, which involved experimenting with new typologies for manicure and pedicure stations. The final design features curved lines and compact, minimalist shapes that seamlessly blend functionality with aesthetics.

The greatest challenge lay in articulating the salon's seven distinct areas. Guests are welcomed by a terrace furnished with sofas and tables, where drinks from the bar are served—a thoughtful touch from the client to enhance the overall experience. Inside, the bar and waiting area also double as a lounge, providing a comfortable space for guests or companions to relax while awaiting service.

Clients are served in three distinct areas. The first option consists of eight manicure tables, arranged in mirrored pairs, each equipped with a lamp to enhance visibility for the staff. The second area includes three elevated pedicure stations, designed to provide greater comfort for both clients and staff. The third area is dedicated to hair treatments, featuring two styling chairs and a single head-washing station.

The material palette was carefully selected in light earthy tones, featuring textured ceramic flooring, light-colored wood, water-resistant upholstery fabrics, Crema Marfil marble countertops, and a variety of natural fiber accents.

By incorporating mirrored walls, warm lighting and vegetation, the studio enhanced the sense of space and created a unique, refined atmosphere in every corner. This design approach ensures the space feels inviting to all genders, offering clients a restorative and intimate environment to focus on self-care while enjoying the experience.
