The modern new building takes up the strict and practical construction of the historic Cistercian monastery and completes the previously incomplete floor plan. The contours and materiality of the adjacent components are respectfully taken up and continued seamlessly, creating a harmonious whole. A strong and distinctive architectural face is being developed on the entrance side that opens to Priors Garden.

The result is a harmonious ensemble in which old and new come together seamlessly - a place that is open to students, interested parties and guests.
The new library will house around 120,000 volumes from different eras.
