BIG DREAM IN A LITTLE TOWER Is an ethical project imagined with the main intention to restore a "secret meeting place" through the intelligent intervention of selected companies of international importance. An intimate blend of art, cuisine and wellness springs an extra-ordinary, out of time dimension in which relax your senses, open the doors of perception and enjoy the splendor of the original and authentic contact with nature. Inside the historic and prestigious Fattoria di Maiano in Fiesole - Florence, is an incredible and fascinating neo-gothic miniature Tower. The Tower of the Pond of Columns is a small nineteenth century building in decorum of the pond of the same name, built by wealthy british businessman Sir John Temple Leader between 1870 and 1894 within the famous "Columns quarry" so called because they were extracted from there, among the many works commissioned by Lorenzo De Medici and his family, the the magnificent columns for the Princes’s Chapel in San Lorenzo and the staircase of the vestibule of the Laurentian Library, designed by Michelangelo Buonarroti, 1475-1564.

The tower in the gothic revival style (1885-1886), with its four levels, stands, a bit 'tight angle, in defense of the quarry and its pond. The complex quarry-pond-tower is the heart of the romantic park built by John Temple Leader among its wide properties': Castle of Vincigliata and the Villa di Maiano. The building is the centerpiece of this charming and unusual scenery originally "bathroom", crowned by a gallery with protruding battlement. The ladies locker room, made of wood, on stilts, in the style of a swiss chalet, is the only building that was not preserved. A bridge connects the two banks of the river, beyond which lies the elegant Kaffeehaus loggia. Around the pond of Columns, the garden is divided into winding paths that cross the dense forest through bridges, walls, statues of mythological monsters and a nymphaeum cave, typical elements of the romantic garden.

Here he made a gigantic work by planting thousands of cypresses, pines, holm and other essences, turning it in a botanical garden; has enhanced the paths of the stonemasons as romantic paths for its guests including, in 1893, Queen Victoria of England who inaugurated the work. In many points this park embraces the view of the center of Florence creating an incredible blend of town and country. In recent years the park has regained his role of romantic park with pond and the many paths that are open to guided tours.

In this splendid frame is the project intervention of architect Simone Micheli that transforms the tower of columns’ pond in the permanent work of art, whose magical aura of otherness envelops the visitor leading him in a dream and transdimensional space. Just inside the entry threshold, guests find themselves diving in a one-dimensional field characterized, like all areas of the tower, by warm tones of the walls that show, through their manifest truth, what time has left on their own wonderful surfaces. The first space that the visitor is in front is a fine how improbable kitchen-dining room space, an inviting and stimulating place in which to enjoy the intense flavors collected from nature to be prepared to perfection. On the first floor the living area, muffled as absolute, allows to relax the senses and spirit, enveloping guests in a bright and smooth golden beauty, thank also to the balcony plumbed on the pond. On the second floor a white bathroom suite from the pure and rigorous geometry, gently welcomes guests for the night.

Fragments of furniture in the mirror, reflecting the contrast between past and future, between light and shadow, between interior and exterior creating a holistic unicum in which close your eyes and be carried in the dream. On the third floor a spa area, characterized by a multi function turkish bath, by a tea area, by two relaxation beds immersed in a virtuous context of materials from the walls and the wooden roof and metal original structures, is able to determine an extraordinary bubble, disconnected from everyday reality, where emotions expand and rejuvenate. Finally passed a small essential staircase leads to a comfortable outdoor space where history and modernity are contrasted so addictive, thus completing the morale and welfare of those living this luxurious and unusual experience, allowing him, guiding him through the maze of its interiority, to rediscover the original harmony of body and soul, mind and heart. A work of recovery, of an abandoned place by several decades, extremely intriguing, that with sophistication, approaches contemporaneity to the past restoring the forgotten intensity: fluidity and rigor, light and shadow, purity and materiality blend together creating experiences on the border line between reality and dream.

Intelligent expression of thoughts on the subject and its meaning "big dream in a little tower" becomes a resounding as the only place of high cultural value, which can be transformed into a luxury manifesto of a new concept of hospitality in Florence for those who want to live in a dimension unlikely never experienced before, in a few words into a true work of art set in a natural fairytale environment. The intent of the architect Simone Micheli is therefore to provide a design and construction path of enlightened ethics, without wasting precious energy, which creates a space-time continuum between the participation of the partner companies to the first exhibition created for the Fuori Salone in Milan and the real and permanent actions within the small neo-Gothic tower, to define the perimeters of an architectural history from the great communicative power.

During the Fuori Salone at the space "Simone Micheli Studio - Gallery" the essence of the project and its significance will be premiered to the general public, through video-interactive animations. A simulation in augmented reality of the Tower (AR Augmented Reality) will represent the core of seductive installation that will allow visitors to be in Milan "surfing" virtually through their phone within the small tower of Maiano. Enter the experience: download on your smartphone/tablet the IMMERSIVE OBJECTS app. By the end of 2015 the realized space will allow all the lovers of extraordinary to plunge into a dream that comes true, in a unique, excellent, amazing rather than charming, able to imprint itself indelibly in their memory.
