New Karaoke Lounge Serves Up Cocktails and Songs

Enter Blind Dragon, a sultry new nightspot for cocktails, wood-fired filet mignon pizza and endless hours of karaoke. The designer behind L.A’s restaurant and after dark scene is at it again: John Sofio of award-winning design/build firm Built Inc. has teamed up with the h.wood group to bring Blind Dragon, a high-end karaoke lounge, to Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood.

From the garage, guests enter through a back entrance made of shipping containers to find a luxurious space where they can enjoy retro-themed cocktails in the lounge, or sing the night away in one of Blind Dragon’s three private karaoke rooms. John Sofio outfitted the interior with Chinese lanterns, red sofas, and black lacquer screens, evoking the sultry atmosphere of an opium den.

Built Inc. likes to create unconventional design details, and Blind Dragon was no exception. Some guests might be surprised to discover that the veiled Maersk shipping container at the entryway was influenced by a temptress femme fatale, and that one of the three karaoke rooms sports a seductive leopard carpet.
