The need to have a single-story house, of small dimensions, but with the corresponding relationship with its immediate surroundings, are the initial premises for the design of a spartan character, but rich in nuances, that has been carried out.
In this immediate environment: the opening to the west, facing the mountains, allows the enjoyment of the already existing irrigation pond. Towards the north and south, the views to the adjacent street on the south side and to the neighboring property on the north side are closed, trying at the same time to obtain light from those same facades, through a sequence divided by cross sections that delimit the different rooms, has been the strategy executed.
A construction based on a single wall of ceramic pieces, thermoclay, acts as a structure and closure, thus achieving maximum optimization of resources depending on the climate of the area. The white mortar coating responds to the character of the place, to the tradition of Mediterranean whitewashing.
The cross sections are resolved with double glass and an air chamber, thus allowing the entry of natural light and providing a changing atmosphere.
The vegetated porch on the west façade protects and at the same time allows the transition with the pool and garden.
