Cantera is a new restaurant, launched by 5 partners in the Parioli district in Rome. Food here is a fusion of japanese traditional kitchen and the specific taste of meat. The interior design concept very much reflects this idea. The intention has been to find a balance between oriental architecture and the spanish concept of the Cave ( Cantera in spanish).
Warm colours combined with natural and raw materials are dealing with the basic concept as when fired earth hollow bricks by Mutina (by Patricia Urquiola), replace traditional Fusama sliding paper walls and allow the new mood to break through for a contemporary ambiance. Large windows surround the space, helping light to play its drama game. Concrete effect walls and lots of plants give life to every surface with unexpected shapes.
