The Casa Doble R required a radical transformation of its layout to turn this old building into a functional home, adapted to the needs of its residents. The openings were modified to create more fluid connections between the different spaces, as well as to promote natural lighting and cross-ventilation.
During the process, some of the home’s original features were preserved and highlighted, integrating them into the new design to maintain part of its architectural essence. The upper floor was renovated according to the architectural plan, while the master bedroom was located at the rear of the property to provide greater privacy and tranquility.

The material palette is warm and neutral, with natural wood taking center stage, adding texture, comfort, and a welcoming feel to every space. This aesthetic is complemented by quartz countertops in the kitchen, chosen for their durability and low porosity, as well as handmade terracotta floors that add character and personality through geometric patterns and unique color variations.
Materials such as natural wood, natural fibers, and polished concrete interact to create balanced contrasts between the warm, the soft, and the contemporary. The combination of textures and neutral tones allows the home to maintain a serene and timeless atmosphere.
