Set within a warehouse, the event cocktail company Casa Flairs received a project that incorporates the brand’s predominantly black visual identity into a raw and authentic aesthetic as its central concept. The project is designed by Natalia Minas, architect and co-founder of Nati Minas & Studio, and Gabriela Mestriner.
The brutalist and industrial language, beyond being part of the premise requested by clients passionate about drinks, also emerges from the context in which the project is inserted. As it is located in a warehouse, the proposal was to keep the roof structure exposed and to work with the high ceilings to create a more intimate atmosphere. Lighting was resolved with black-painted electrical tracks, positioned at a lower height and aligned with the industrial aesthetic of the space.
All designed elements were executed in raw concrete, with volumes that structure the space and reinforce the project’s identity. As a result, the environment became spacious enough to host events, yet sufficiently filled so that, even when empty, it would not feel impersonal.
Right at the entrance, a sculptural volume allows for different tasting arrangements: a seated area at chair height and another higher one suitable for stools or standing use. The construction process of these elements is also part of the project’s language: the molds used to shape the volumes remain visible, revealing an almost artisanal dimension in their execution.
At the back, the space houses the company’s office, while the front area is designed as a relaxed environment to host clients for tastings. In this context, the bar plays a central role in the project: beyond being the protagonist, it functions as a visual barrier that ensures privacy for the office while also creating a connection between spaces. To achieve this, a half-height concrete wall was designed behind the bar, featuring a circular opening that allows glasses and bottles to be displayed and establishes a visual relationship between the areas.
At the counter, a semicircular shape was chosen, working in a more restrained way with the concrete volumes at the back, in contrast to the more expressive forms of the volume located at the front of the project.
Along the entire length of the space, a continuous bench with a planter was created, introducing a layer of vegetation to the predominantly raw material palette. This element works in a versatile way: when empty, it acts as an architectural and decorative piece; when needed, it accommodates a large number of seated people, especially during larger events.
The presence of a fruit tree in the planter at the entrance introduces a natural element into this raw setting and symbolically references the freshness of the ingredients used in the drinks.
The furniture selection was curated in partnership with Quina Mobiliário, an antique dealer specializing in pieces with character and history. This choice brings personality to the space, balancing the rigor of the concrete volumes with pieces that carry memory and authenticity, such as the upholstered elements that appear selectively to provide comfort.
The dynamic nature of the proposed architecture allows the space to naturally transform into an event venue. It is currently used both for the brand’s internal gatherings and for external rentals.
