Casa Regino is a residential interior design project in Burgos, completed by VANDA Designers in 2025.
One hundred and eighty square metres redesigned from the ground up, spatial layout, custom furnishings, colour palette, and construction management. The brief was clear: transform an existing apartment into a luminous, coherent space that reflects the life of its inhabitants. The design response followed that same clarity.
The most distinctive architectural gesture in Casa Regino is the bespoke glass partition separating the kitchen from the living area. Designed by us as a compositional element, not merely a functional one, it allows light to travel freely through the apartment while maintaining visual continuity between rooms. The kitchen remains an autonomous working space, yet stays connected to the living room through the glass: an open dialogue between privacy and openness.
In an urban context like Burgos, where natural light shifts significantly throughout the day, the project treated light as a primary material. Pale surfaces amplify reflection, windows were fully exploited in their depth, and chromatic accents — vivid but controlled — punctuate each room without weighing it down. Colour here is not decoration: it is a tool for spatial orientation and identity.
Every piece of furniture in Casa Regino was designed by VANDA in direct response to the specific space it occupies. Storage units, kitchen cabinetry, built-in solutions: nothing is off-the-shelf, everything answers to the geometry of the apartment and the habits of its owners. The result is an interior where order is silent — not imposed, but built in — and where every formal decision has a functional reason behind it.
Casa Regino embodies the way VANDA works on residential projects: integrated service from design to site supervision, furniture drawn in-house, and close attention to the specific character of each place.
