CASACOR Paraná 2021

O branco e o preto. A luz e a escuridão. O Yin e o Yang.

As soon as you enter, you can already see the conflict and, at the same time, the harmony between black and white in the environment. In addition, the incidence of straight lines as opposed to diagonal lines is another striking presence in the project. Smooth surfaces are opposed to more uneven ones. The perfect opposes but at the same time perfectly marries the “imperfect”: a concept known as Wabi Sabi.
The space is based on a corporate environment, but with a more inviting atmosphere. It has a bench – with diagonal lines in black and white – with a marble top that gives the sensation of being floating, even more so with the use of indirect lights applied to the piece. To the most attentive eyes, one can see on the top of the table “cores” of reddish light installed under the top, which bring a warmer tone to a colder table.

In front of the bench, there is a space that resembles a waiting room, but unconventional. Starting with the organic rug - without a defined shape - that talks directly to the suspended luminaire, also without a defined shape, a link of lights that is striking and at the same time discreet. Two padded chairs of minimalist design are combined with a third seat – a floating chair whose transparent material acts almost as an alternative lens for the space.
In addition, two tables with supports in semicircles complete this area with the presence of containers and support of irregular surfaces supported one on the other in misalignment.

On the walls perpendicular to the aforementioned spaces, Tulli once again brought an element that is characteristic in her works: Biophilia.
On the wall furthest from the entrance, an extensive vertical garden. Wire grids along the entire length of the wall are populated by several cachepots of Tulli Studio's own production, which are filled with various plants in arbitrary distribution - seeking to bring the energy and well-being that nature provides. The vertical garden, therefore, has a visually striking sculpture as its final detail precisely because it is in front of a background full of plants.

On the wall closest to the entrance is a bench that summarizes the conceptual core of the project. A bench that works with diagonal and straight lines; color fill that alternates between white and black. Panels in black MDF that print the concept of the lines and one of them white that simulates the appearance of a marble. Near the center of the bench, a space with white stones where a beautiful tree stands that represents the invitation to nature into urban environments.

In order to inject more “life” into the environment, in addition to the presence of all the vegetation, 3 spotlights with strong RGB tones were placed. These are partially hidden under the bench side by side but with different angles. This misalignment creates a completely mesmerizing chromatic aberration effect. In addition, when visitors cross in front of the spotlights, they end up generating unusual shapes and shadows, which generates an interactive engagement with those who enter the environment.
