LEED v4 Gold certification targeted, located in the Val-Martin Ecological District, LEED ND certified
Our team at Ædifica is proud to contribute to the revitalization of Laval’s Chomedey district with the Simonne-Monet-Chartrand Community Centre, a flagship project within the Val-Martin redevelopment.
In close collaboration with the Laval Municipal Housing Office, Groupe GEYSER, and Bâtir son quartier, this initiative embodies an ambitious and sustainable urban transformation.
Integrated into a residential complex of 357 housing units, the centre promotes social diversity and community life. Designed through an integrated design process, it unites all partners around a shared vision of inclusivity, resilience, and sustainability.
Covering 27,965 sq. ft. and targeting LEED v4 BD+C Gold certification, the centre will include an agora, youth house, social grocery, cultural and multipurpose spaces. Its transparent, two-level architecture creates a welcoming, dynamic urban landmark that fosters active mobility and social connection—an inspiring model of community-centered, sustainable development.
