The Project is a 6,500 square feet addition to the Englewood Library. The library is located at the center of a large County complex which includes a gymnasium, dance hall, tennis courts, and rollerblade skate rink. The expanded library will function as the civic anchor for the County campus. The scope of work includes the re-roofing of the existing 8,000 s.f. library with a new single-ply membrane roof over new tapered insulation sloped at a min. ¼”/ft. to provide for proper drainage. Renovations to the existing library included the removal of the interior ceilings to provide for a new fire-suppression systems in accordance with the latest building codes. Other interior improvements include new carpet, painting and energy upgrades to the library lighting and HVAC systems. A new addition of approximately 6,500 square feet will provide for a larger Youth Services area, a new Teen Center, additional meeting rooms and a room dedicated to the Charlotte County Historical Archives.
