The home is contemporary in style. My intention was to enhance the indoor/outdoor feel that you get from the open plan spaces and architectural glazing overlooking the backyard, pool and internal courtyard. I wanted it to be light, bright & airy. I chose a palette of light natural materials, with timber & stone playing a key role and sprinklings of colour to bring warmth. It's a young family home so I wanted the house to reflect the sense of joy and the personalities within it. It was important to me that each room had a common thread linking the design together for a cohesive and thoughtful home. I incorporated terrazzo, super white dolomite, white oiled timber & brushed brass accents as recurring features.
Brief: warm, open, family friendly living, light and bright.
