The site is located at the border of the town center, but it is cut off from the picturesque branch of the Rhine by a busy street and railroad tracks. We proposed a congress hall with the entrance and lobby on an elevated level which still offers some visual connection to the Rhine. The lobby serves as a noise buffer for the divisible convention room, which faces to the quiet back side with its small patio.
The convention room and the lobby can be combined for large events. Here on the main level, the kitchen area, other secondary rooms and larger club rooms can also be found, while three smaller club rooms and the dressing rooms for the stage are located on the upper level. The basement is completely free of any important installations due to the flood hazard, and only serves as parking space. The roof of the compact building projects towards the street and marks the public entrance.
