This Coombsville area winery is completely underground, out of consideration for nearby neighbors. Without disturbing the peaceful ambiance of the landscape, an undulating, sculpted concrete and stone retaining wall with entry portals, defines the face of the facility. The wall establishes an elegant presence while accenting the beauty of both the wooded hillside it encircles and the vineyards below. A trellis of willow at the North portal references the curve of the hillside. 

Inside, the tasting room, employee lounge and office functions are near the entrances to benefit from natural light. Curved tunnels, originating from each of the outer portals, expand and contract in response to the winemaking processes they accommodate. Elements of the same stone and concrete used on the exterior provide accent and continuity inside.
