The clients, seeking a legacy home, mandated a design that moves toward a more fluid, integrated way of living. Central to the brief was the requirement for an effortless transition between internal social hubs, such as the majlis and family living areas, and the external landscape, ensuring the architecture serves as a living framework for human connection.
Concept
The core concept, "The Philosophy of Breath," rejects rigid compartmentalization in favor of a spatial "palm" that opens to its environment. By reimagining the traditional courtyard through a lens of "Paleo-Innovation," the design utilizes internal voids as cooling, light-filled lungs that connect every level. This approach transforms the dwelling from a closed, defensive structure into a generous, reflective volume that prioritizes the inhabitant's visual and physical connection to the sky and the horizon.
