This work represents a particular case in our professional history. Thirty years ago a young couple with young daughters approached us and with our youthful enthusiasm we designed and built this penthouse for them to live in and grow up in. Fortunately, we met expectations and they lived happily for the next thirty years, the relationship going from clients to friends for life.
About three years ago I received a call and they were ready to start a new adventure again, and we were happy to start over. Of course things had changed, we had all matured, they already grandparents, we with 30 more years of experience but always with the slogan of understanding and interpreting the dreams and needs of the client.
This way of working has allowed us to learn from each job, that all clients have their own tastes and that has made each work we do different, that there is no defined style, which surprises us and makes each work a new one. experience. The access to the apartment is through the elevator that goes directly to a first small hall and from there we go to the hall which distributes to the left towards the public area and to the right to the private one.
The public area contains an office, a two-room room with a bar and a fireplace, where paintings by Vicente Rojo and José Villalobos are the stars, the dining room and a large family room divided into an area for breakfast, watching television and another living area in which the windows fold to open up the entire space and are integrated into the garden as a large covered terrace.
The garden connects all the spaces of the house, the private and the public, all areas have an exit and live towards it, there we find a barbecue area and outdoor dining room, rooms and water mirrors that delimit and set the mood with the sound of water that flows, a fire pit and off the master bedroom a Jacuzzi and sunning area. A large sculpture by Rodrigo Galagarza is the focal point in this outdoor space with a great view from above.
The private area contains the guest bedroom, massage room and the main bedroom which is preceded by a library room and bathroom with separate dressing rooms. This department would not be complete without its personal movie theater complete with sweets, with capacity for nine attendees, acoustically isolated and with a state-of-the-art audio and video system, red leather upholstered armchairs and indirect lighting creating a great visual drama.
The materials used are Greek white marble, walnut wood in practically all areas, lambrin ceilings and floors.
