The new headquarters for the engineering firm Noemi Milani—a company specializing in workplace safety and training—features 400 square meters of light-filled offices designed around principles of well-being and eco-friendliness, ready to meet the needs of collaborators, employees, and client companies. The project by Studio BIA-@rch | Bianca Giovene di Girasole architect showcases a multitude of specific solutions that converge to create an attractive, functional environment, designed to give concrete expression to the company's core values. Culture, education, and ethical principles are embodied in a space that—starting from a raw, unfinished shell—involved the integrated design of various specialized components. Prioritizing energy efficiency and sustainability, the layout accommodates eighteen workstations, an executive office, a training room (seating up to twenty-five people), three small areas for collaboration and relaxation, a meeting room, a break room, a reception area, and an occupational health office.
The project places people and their well-being at the heart of every decision, ensuring a welcoming and innovative work environment. The airy, light-filled floor plan reflects the principles of Activity-Based Working (ABW)—an approach aimed at reimagining spaces to create a more engaging experience while boosting both individual and corporate productivity. ABW fosters a less sedentary workstyle by offering a sequence of environments with distinct characteristics, facilitating greater interaction among colleagues and enhanced comfort. The result is a dynamic, modern setting where offices, meeting rooms, and collaborative areas flow seamlessly into one another across the floor.
