The architectural identity of this wooden building blends in with the greenery of the Valley.
The wooden structure here allows it to be available in openwork claustras supporting climbing vegetation as if to extend the vegetation of the Valley.
The terraces-loggias, real living spaces overlooking the Valley, offer belvederes with unobstructed views of the small arm of the Seine.
These spaces are equipped with storage cupboards. The terraces are waterproof, the floor decking is fixed on slabs on pedestals. The drainage system is collected in the rainwater columns integrated into the cupboards.
The loggia is also equipped with a sump tap to facilitate watering of plants.
The ground floor of the building offers an East-West porosity that is both visual and spatial, marked by the layout of its halls crossing the valley axis and the heart of the block.
At the level of Allée du Printemps, the building offers a transparent ground floor on the south façade which provides a visual overview, both over the green valley and the heart of the block. This glazed volume makes it possible to house in the Olympic phase a room allocated to the needs of the event and in the legacy phase a multi-purpose common room for the building with a surface area of 48 m².
The spatial structure of the current floors is characterized by an artery of “serving blocks” which concentrates vertical circulation in the common areas (elevators and stairwells) and the bathroom blocks inside the apartments.
This spatial optimization makes it possible to free up the housing area and thus makes it possible to have the spaces served which are less constrained in terms of layout and favorable to the flexibility of layout of the accommodation reception spaces which are oriented towards the Vallon side.
The structure of the building is a wooden frame, with the exception of the ground floor in a concrete structure, as well as the stairwells to ensure the solidity and necessary uses on the ground floor.
The facades of the ground floor could be aesthetically treated with sanded concrete.
This texture harmonizes with the wooden cladding elements on the facades on the upper floors superiors
