Introducing the EDITION Miami Beach, a masterpiece crafted at the intersection of historic allure and modern sophistication. Owned and developed by Marriott International and Ian Schrager, this architectural marvel, unveiled during Art Basel Miami Beach, stands as a testament to Nichols Architects' design philosophy. The firm, renowned for its landmark restoration projects including the iconic Fontainebleau and Eden Roc, seamlessly blends the charm of history with contemporary elegance.

Nestled at 2901 Collins Avenue, on the grounds of the former Seville Hotel, the EDITION Miami Beach is a complex of three intricately-linked structures. The visionary approach of Nichols Architects is evident in every facet, from the 294-luxury hotel within the original 1950s tower to the 25 luxury residences gracing the upper floors. A newly-built 18-story glass-clad condominium tower and a five-story building hosting 28 bungalow hotel suites and amenities complete this architectural symphony. Nichols Architects, the driving force behind the project, skillfully paid homage to the property's historic elements, infusing it with contemporary touches and whimsical details, reinvigorating the spirit of mid-century modern condo/hotel living.

The collaborative effort extended beyond architecture, bringing together industry experts to shape the EDITION Miami Beach. Coastal Construction led the construction efforts, while Yabu Pushelberg curated the hotel interiors, and John Pawson Limited added their touch to the residences. The landscape design, a crucial element, was entrusted to the capable hands of Madison Cox and EDSA.

In the words of Jim Wurst, legacy partner at Nichols Architects, "Architecture must reflect its environment and context, while paying respect to the history of its surroundings. We drew inspiration from the property’s original architect, Melvin Grossman, in order to rekindle the spirit of this iconic building, while infusing it with textures and finishes for the 21st century and beyond." This sentiment encapsulates the essence of the EDITION Miami Beach, a timeless blend of heritage and innovation in the heart of Miami's iconic Collins Avenue.
