This project consists of the complete refurbishment of a typical flat in the Eixample district of Barcelona, especially targeted at the elimination of the classic long, narrow, dark corridor typical from this type of building at this location. There is a clear separation between night and day rooms, which is well achieved through the use of long grey pieces of furniture at the intermediate area of the space which goes through the flat and incorporates the kitchen, a big wine rack, the main wardrobes, and the access doors to the bathroom and secondary bedroom.
On its upper part, in contact with the original ceiling there is a built-in case containing the electrical and climate installations and because of this it is now possible to strip the rest of the ceilings and walls which have the apartments original constructive systems completely hidden. The white finishings, grey furniture, two different types of floorings, grey-blue geometric tiles, and the wooden elements give a bright, modern, and functional style to the flat.
