Sitting low and long against the hillside above the Great Ocean Road, Equilibrium transforms a beloved holiday site into a refined yet understated coastal retreat. Rather than simply opening to the ocean, the design balances outlook with shelter, giving equal priority to the elements that define this exposed stretch of coast. 

A hard shell of corten steel echoes oxidised coastal rock, while local stone, spotted gum, and sandstone concrete anchor the home warmly to place.
