“We Change the World, and We Have the Potential to Do So” was the motto with which Glass System, a manufacturer of glass wall solutions for interior spaces, approached the mode:lina architectural team.

The ORGATEC trade fair in Cologne gave Glass System the perfect opportunity to showcase the full spectrum of possibilities for creating office environments that support human well-being.

For the brand, it was essential to maintain the functionality of the exhibition booth, making it an inviting space for meetings and business networking while simultaneously emphasizing the informative aspects of the project.
With this in mind, the architects at mode:lina decided to simulate a real work environment, demonstrating the capabilities of the brand’s products in a trade fair setting.

To achieve the desired effect, the booth was designed so that every element served as a presentation of the brand’s products. The space was divided into four rooms, each showcasing the potential of acoustic glass wall and door systems. Additionally, rounded corners made of curved glass were introduced, enhancing both the functionality and ergonomics of circulation routes. 
Every centimeter of the booth’s footprint was utilized efficiently, ensuring that the showcased products became the primary structural elements of the space.

The supporting structure, including the technical facilities and access to installations, was concealed within cube-shaped enclosures finished with the client’s proprietary profiles. The entire substructure was hidden under white ceilings in the designated meeting rooms. Thanks to the use of curtains and panels, excellent acoustic conditions were achieved despite the regulatory limitations of the exhibition hall. 
The spaces between the designed rooms provided an ideal setting for quick meetings at a bar-height table and technical presentations of the booth’s solutions.

The main attraction of the booth was a showcase filled with illuminated spheres, demonstrating the possibilities of tall, curved glass walls. 
Positioned at a prominent corner, it drew visitors from all directions within the exhibition hall, inviting them to explore the unique microenvironment created for the event.

To complement the color scheme of the displayed products, additional structures and fabrics in a soft blue hue—echoing the Glass System logo—were incorporated. This color choice enhanced the warmth of the minimalistic scenography, creating the illusion of an authentic workspace. 
In collaboration with Smart Design Expo, the team successfully brought to life a 150-square-meter exhibition space that, for four days, functioned as a fully operational office.
