The project of a private villa on the sloping terrain of an indescribably beautiful Portuguese island was a real pleasure for us. The request from the customers was to create something unique in terms of architecture and interior space, but taking into account the local features of the land and existing natural factors.

The main concept of this architecture consisted in the spatial dissolution of the architectural volume in the natural environment of the location. The main task is to plant the house on a very complex landscape. And the solution is to use the cascades of floors, which are harmoniously combined with the slopes of this picturesque natural environment.

At the basis of the conceptual solution of the volume, we laid a plate-like composition of architecture, which is perceived very dynamically and easily from the point of view of general visual contact with the building.

The YODEZEEN team made the power of water an important part of the Falls Villa architecture. Thus, the waterfall on the basement floor is an audiovisual element of the architecture, which brings it closer to merging with the surrounding space. The same task is in the greenery on the roof of the house, which makes it almost invisible from a bird's eye view.
