In Buenos Aires, due to the pandemic, gyms were closed for more than a year and outdoor training in public spaces was not allowed.
Those who consider physical activity as part of their lifestyle, had to resort to setting up, to the extent possible, elements that allow them to maintain their routines in their homes.

In this case, our client had a unit that he did not use on the roof of his building and he commissioned us to transform it into a family gym similar to his apartment that we built six years ago.
This unit consisted of an almost square floor plan with a front window and a sheet metal roof with a layer of insulation on the lower face and a sanitary pre-installation.

Taking advantage of the average free height of 4 meters, we defined the ceiling height at 3 meters and used the space between both to hide the air conditioning equipment, water heater, LED lighting devices, audio and structural reinforcements to be able to install pivot doors from floor to the ceiling.

The gym contains a main area where the machines and weights are located and a free floor area for functional training, a private room for massages, a toilet and a complete locker room.
The flooring, with the exception of the calacata altissimo marble shower box, is covered with Slavonian oak.

The walls of the massage room and the toilet are covered in walnut veneer, as is all the fixed furniture that contains a kitchenette with a calacata marble countertop and backrest and the appliances are hidden behind the panels.
The central column that partially supports the sheet metal roof was covered in matte stainless steel, adopting a fluted shape.

The design of the led lighting was carried out in such a way as to help limit the different spaces in the room, each one being able to be lit independently.
