Located on the ground floor of a residential building over 80 years old in the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires, this fashion design studio was conceived as an isolated capsule. The project transforms the original space into a private, quiet, and highly functional environment that shields creative activity from the bustling street outside.

The key strategy was to incorporate a secondary interior skin made of sound-absorbing corrugated plastic, mounted on a galvanized steel structure. Near the windows, this envelope curves inward like a gill, allowing diffuse natural light to enter while blocking outside views and dampening street noise.

In addition to generating an introspective atmosphere, this structure defines additional areas for secondary functions such as fitting rooms, storage, or beverage preparation. Prior to the intervention, internal partitions were demolished, flooring was removed, and electrical and plumbing systems were replaced—except for the kitchen and bathroom, which were completely renovated.

The white interior, along with exposed installations, evokes the cleanliness and precision of a laboratory, reinforcing the relationship between the physical space and the fashion design process. The use of industrial materials was carefully calibrated to create a bright, practical, and contemporary environment.
