Forest Infusion Apartment

Next Interior as Interior Architects

The project aimed at transforming a 3-room apartment into a welcoming space for a young bachelor who purchased his first home. From the outset, we identified the beneficiary's preference for a contemporary, masculine, and elegant interior. To create the desired atmosphere, we opted for a dark colour palette, predominantly in shades of grey, integrating elements of light wood, ceramic tiles with a marble-like appearance, velvet, and wallpaper.

Regarding the layout, initially, the apartment had separate rooms, with the kitchen distinct from the living area. However, we decided to convert the kitchen and living room into an open space, removing walls and incorporating the large hallway area. This decision was made to provide a bright and open space, ideal for gatherings and parties, considering that the beneficiary does not cook frequently, making an open kitchen perfect for him.

For the kitchen's backsplash, we chose marble-look ceramic tiles from Atlas Concorde, two large slabs arranged in the shape of an open book ("macchiaperta"), extending onto the floor. The furniture is dark grey with wooden inserts, and the quartz countertop is black.

The open space allowed us to create a focal point in the kitchen: an extended peninsula with a dining table for six. The peninsula not only provides additional cooking space but also incorporates storage areas and conceals a wine refrigerator, a highly desired feature for the beneficiary. Additionally, we integrated a smart-home system, easily controlled to adjust the atmosphere, especially with RGB lighting fixtures, allowing quick transitions between relaxing and club-like atmospheres.

In the master bedroom, the centrepiece is the wallpaper with botanical motifs on the wall behind the bed, contributing to a relaxing atmosphere perfect for rest. We applied the same botanical motif in the master bathroom, covering the shower wall with wallpaper from Tecnografica.

In this project, we tailored the apartment to the beneficiary's lifestyle, modifying both the layout and the design, along with the lighting system, to achieve a contemporary, masculine, and elegant interior.
