DESCRIPTIVE MEMORY

The house, a back ph (horizontal property), belongs to our family since 1978... My brother Martin and I grew up in that house where we lived with our parents, Ana and José… 

Many stories took place during those years… After the natural exodus in our lives, the house was empty. and that was a great opportunity for an architectonic intervention which would convert the house into our office, that is, our first

studio. The idea was to carry out an intervention.

Of all that was existent so as to generate a dialogue with the new. With this remarkable intervention we wanted to make the new noble material to become 

evident while the existng was highlighted. 

Then an orange and grey “spot” broke into the house and gradually “splashed” the spaces and “spilled” onto the existent elements linking and dissolving the limits between the exterior and the interior. 

this mantle got through the inherited finishing coating, which had an ordinary manufacture, in such a way that the presence of it did not make sense without the existence of the other element. The matter of the ¨spot” took up shape and movement… 

A glazed volume through one of the walls generated an access to the working area and expanded it to the exterior while it sought to colonize and blur the limits…
