The project site located in the Krtsanisi district of Tbilisi envisions rehabilitation of an abandoned multi-story car park into a vibrant community hub. The garage is located in the green recreational area, at the end of Vakhtang Gorgasali lane, only 10 minutes from the city center.

The influx of tourists and exchange students in Georgia dictated to whom this place would cater the most. Among these are young and free-spirited people, local and international students, and tourists. We narrowed the concept down to a green space that propagates a healthy and active lifestyle, a new platform for forward-thinking individuals to hang out and share experiences.

While working on the project, our main drive was to create a place that would spur a positive social change. With sustainable and less obtrusive design practice, we managed to retain the spirit of the place while adapting and transforming the old soviet circular structure into a thriving urban hub in the city.

Our mindset was to preserve the traditional form and create a sustainable platform that fully complies with the modern safety standards and is adapted for people with disabilities.
