The project for the demolition and reconstruction of the current Cossatese High School aims to create a new hub focused on the well-being of future users of the school and on improving the area for the residents of the municipality as well.

The outdoor spaces are organized as follows: the area pertaining to the gymnasium is characterized by an outdoor sports field and an athletic track, the latter already present in the current context but slightly shifted to optimize the use of the outdoor space, and the urban park, built on the old school site, is afferent to both the school and urban areas. The entrance to the school is envisioned on the existing Via Martiri della Libertà, passed the urban park, while the existing areas used for parking and school bus stop remain unchanged.

The school is divided into three blocks designed for the language, humanities and science areas and related administrative spaces. Public/administrative functions and 3 laboratories have been placed on the ground floor: the library and related distribution corridor have been placed in the central block; a lecture hall for 150 people has been placed next to it.

All educational functions are located on the 1st floor; in the central block there are also classrooms on the ground floor. On both floors there are faculty rooms, staff rooms and refreshment areas.

The gymnasium, in close proximity to the school block and accessible from the latter via covered walkway, is sized to accommodate volleyball and basketball activities with 80 to 100 seats for the public, accessible independently even from outside when the school is closed.

The new school and gymnasium, in fact, are designed to be usable even during non-school hours in an entirely autonomous manner, as are the outdoor areas pertaining to the gymnasium (sport park) and the urban park. All spaces are also dedicated to community and social participation, allowing for school and extracurricular events and taking advantage of the flexibility of internal partitions and outdoor areas.
