This house is organized around a central entrance. The open stairs and high voids provide clear sightlines and light in the home. The wish for daylight in the basement was realized by introducing a split level on the ground floor. From the raised living room at the front you look out over the Brabant landscape. The extra high openings in the rear façade create a direct relationship between the kitchen and the garden. The large roof surface of the house is oriented towards the south to realize an optimal return on the integrated solar panels. The house has a modern design but refers to the Dutch building tradition. The house is built according to the first sketch model.
