The Arlozorov project is located in a beautiful contemporary living space. In a prime location in central Tel Aviv, one of the world's most happening cities right now. With ceiling to floor windows, views of the sea & the city are a constant throughout the apartment. The whole of the living area boasts the most magnificent panoramic view of the eastern Mediterranean Sea.
I am constantly being inspired by things I see on my travels There is nothing better than to see the material with my own eye To feel it with my own hands and to experience it first hand. An example of this is the BRIDGE between the living space & the bedrooms. Waking up in Manhattan, I was definitely in a New York state of mind when visualizing this bridge concept, the waterfall and the ceiling. The bridge creates a real sense of theatre, when retiring to bed or rising to embrace the new day.
A truly sensory experience, sight, sound & texture. There is a wonderfully calming effect to the sound of the water as it gently rolls off the deep brown grey stone face of the waterfall. In this case i wanted to make the complete Israeli experience By taking advantage of the great weather we were blessed for most days of the year. Bringing the house facilities to you. With no need to rush, enjoying the tel aviv sunset at the end of the day to the great lights of this city. I love doing the master bedroom calm. I dedicate many hours of thinking about the correct spot for the furnitures. For example, locating the bed in the eastern side of the room gives us the breathtaking experience of waking up next to the outstanding sunrise over the city's buildings. The wood floor and ceiling create a sense of warmth.
The chandelier is a tailor-made design specifically made for the room of my clients, like a statue in the room. In front of their bed there is a hidden movie screen for a true cinematic experience. The bathroom is facing the sea, making the room peaceful and relaxing.
They have two separate walk in closets with a fingerprint. And a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. Overall it is a very cozy bedroom. On the ceiling above the 16 seat dining table is a 2 and a half by 12 meter light sculpture, which runs the length of the dining table & into the den. Inspiration this time came from a holiday in the Czech Republic.
Almost overwhelming & yet hypnotically meditative at one & the same time, each piece of Czech cut glass crystal sounds a solo note & plays its part in a much larger, audacious orchestral composition. I wanted to harness the wonderful array of external light sources available. Day or night these beautifully crafted drops of cut glass crystal catch, interact & refract the external light, spinning ever so slightly as if dizzied by their own innate beauty.
I treat each of my projects as a new adventure, as I discover & reveal my clients taste, presenting it back to them in an exciting modern form, representing the height of comfort & luxury living. There is great fulfillment in creating someone’s perfect home.
