The Golden Apartment was born from the young owner's desire to create a modern-classic space with an "oriental" atmosphere. The original floor plan, filled with excessive angles, was completely redesigned to achieve a clean, fluid, and functional space.

The main materials chosen were gray limestone (for living rooms, dining rooms, circulation areas, and bathrooms) and peroba wood for intimate areas (bedrooms, balcony, and library). To enhance the boundary between the living room and the balcony (created by wooden slatted folding screens), cone-shaped columns and solid wood beams, also made of peroba wood, were used as architectural elements.

In the master suite, expanded at the owner's request, the cabinets were covered with a white film resembling Chinese rice paper folding screens. The suite's television and electronic equipment are located in a cabinet covered by mirrors, which hide the devices and only reveal the television screen.

To complement the ambiance, antique Chinese pieces and furniture from antique shops were placed. Additionally, contemporary, modern, and Italian furniture were also chosen to give a classic touch to the environment, such as sofas, dining table, chairs, armchair, and lighting fixtures.

The slatted folding screens made of peroba wood, from floor to ceiling (on the living room windows and balconies), embellish the space and function as a filter for natural light, maintaining the golden tone of the apartment. The overall color of the apartment, even during the day, is golden!
