Although investing in the housing sector in Tehran is remarkably profitable, the buildings being built for this purpose, generally lack good quality due to the limitations of the clients’ demand for maximum use of the area, and the legal regulation limitations.

Meanwhile, the meaning of home for the Iranians, has a profound personal and social concepts that not only meet their needs for diversity, privacy, security, and introversion, but also expands their relationship with the neighborhood in which they live. Therefore, in the design process of the Golestan Apartment (which is a project with limited cost and standards), providing the quality of space for the each residential unit was met by updating the concepts that form the concept of home in the people`s notion.

 Along with responding to this challenge, principles like respect for the memorial part of neighborhood for residents, playing with light and shadow, (receiving and transferring qualify light in all spaces) and finally forming various units, were the main elements of the project, which we should consider while noticing the limitations of the project. Golestan's Apartment is a new experience of Home for us.
