GR House is located in a gated residential community on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, within a setting defined by tree-filled lots and a strong connection to the surrounding landscape. The project begins with a pure rectangular prism, transformed through a series of subtractions, setbacks, and projecting volumes that respond to the program while preserving a clear and unified reading of the composition.

The design is based on the premise of fewer elements, more space, prioritizing openness, visual continuity, and spatial quality. The house is organized across three levels. The basement accommodates the service areas and a private gym, concentrating the supporting functions below ground. The ground floor contains the social areas, arranged as a sequence of living room, dining room, and kitchen, while also incorporating spaces dedicated to study and leisure.

The double-height living room becomes the main interior space of the house, providing a sense of openness and establishing a strong visual connection between the two main levels. On the upper floor, a bridge crosses this central void and connects the private areas while clearly separating the primary suite from the remaining bedrooms.

Large glazed openings extend the social spaces toward the exterior. A green courtyard connects the kitchen with the outdoor grill area, bringing natural light and vegetation into the floor plan. The covered terrace, garden, and swimming pool are conceived as a continuous outdoor living area. Designed as a zero-edge pool, it integrates visually with the terrace flooring and appears as a natural extension of the architecture.

Vertical and horizontal sunshades regulate the entry of sunlight, provide privacy, and define the character of the façades. The material palette combines white, beige, and grey tones with light woods and pewter-coloured aluminium frames, creating a relaxed and luminous atmosphere. The relationship between interior and exterior, the clarity of the composition, and a restrained material language define the experience of inhabiting GR House.
