Grams Bake is a coffee and cake business brand. The current project consists of 7 floors. The first floor is a cafe space that has been put into operation, our task is to design a space to sit and eat cakes on the mezzanine floor, directly connected by stairs to the bakery on the second floor. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors in the future will be a chain of supermarkets related to coffee and cakes (providing tools, baking materials, etc.). The 7th floor is the office of Grams Bake.

Current status of the mezzanine space: the ceiling system is I-shaped steel bars, above is a layer of reinforced concrete composite steel floor, the floor is finished with terrazzo, a large glass wall system, white painted walls with terrazzo material, an aluminum door system and a staircase connecting to the 2nd floor, an external spiral staircase to go from the 1st floor to the mezzanine. We started with the functional arrangement for each area and will design each item for each position.

The current white painted wall was rearranged with Cemboar cement board, finished with gray grain effect paint which is also the main color of the space.
The staircase directly connects the bakery and the dining space, so we chose a shape like a pipe to feel the highest connection, then cut the pipe in half to create 2 handrails and the remaining part is solid to cover the lower body of the waiter when moving up and down between the 2 floors.

The cake counter combined with the long table is a polished concrete block measuring 4.5, x 07 x 0.8m (length, width, height), especially the consle part extending 2.4m to:
1. When sitting, the feet do not get caught in the table legs.
2. Maximize the space under the table.

And to make the console extend 2.4m, not anchored to the current stone floor but still ensure it does not fall, it needs a 2.1m long counterweight and the counterweight consists of 2 parts (1 part of the inner base is the storage cabinet, the 1m long tail below is the location for the cake cabinet)

The long and low curved bench is arranged to run continuously along the wall in a long line to create a sense of continuity for the space, increase the number of seats, and solve the dead space under the stairs.
The two large and small curved iron blocks are multi-purpose objects to arrange the space, can be moved by hand, and we do not think of it as a table or a chair or... but let it be itself.

Long shelves along the wall instead of choosing a solid material (steel, wood...) when the light shines on it will not get the light through and create shadow areas on the wall surface and the wall finishing material cannot be clearly seen, so we choose transparent glass material.
